Best of 2026: Dog photos London Ontario

Even though May is a little late for “Best of 2025” posts, these adorable images absolutely deserve to be shared! I wanted to continue my yearly tradition of highlighting some of my favourite sessions from the past year, and this collection of Dog Photos London Ontario sessions quickly became one of my favourites to put together.

Throughout 2025, Clara and I had the pleasure of photographing so many incredible pets across Southwestern Ontario. From energetic puppies discovering the world for the very first time, to sweet senior dogs who have been loyal companions for years, every session had its own personality and story. We photographed everything from puppies to beloved family dogs, cats, horse and even a lizard! One of the things I love most about pet photography is that no two sessions are ever the same.

As photographers specializing in Dog Photos London Ontario, we understand that patience is one of the most important parts of creating beautiful pet portraits. Animals do not pose on command the way humans sometimes can, and that is completely okay! We take the time to let pets get comfortable, explore their surroundings, and show off their personalities naturally. Whether your dog is shy, energetic, goofy, calm, or constantly on the move, we work with them exactly as they are to create authentic photographs you will treasure forever.

Many of the images featured this year were captured during family photography sessions or engagement sessions where clients brought along their pets. I absolutely love when families include their fur babies in their portraits because pets are such an important part of the family story. Dogs especially bring so much joy, personality, and emotion into a session. Some of the sweetest candid moments happen when families are simply interacting naturally with their pets — playing fetch, cuddling together, or sharing a walk during sunset.

I truly believe that our pets deserve to be documented just as much as every other family member. They are with us during so many important moments in life, and their time with us always feels too short. Professional Dog Photos London Ontario sessions allow you to preserve those memories forever, whether your pet is still a playful puppy or entering their senior years. I really don’t like hearing ‘I wish we had brought along our dog’ after the session.

Sessions can take place in a variety of locations depending on what works best for your pet’s comfort and personality. Many of these portraits were photographed in my pet-friendly Northwest London Ontario photography studio, which offers a calm and welcoming environment for pets of all sizes. Studio sessions are perfect for classic portraits with clean backgrounds and controlled lighting. There are also a couple of sessions here which were captured at LR studio in Belmont which is great for a clean home-style session, without having to clean!

Other sessions took place in clients’ homes, which can be ideal for nervous pets or senior animals who feel safest in familiar surroundings. We also photographed many outdoor sessions across beautiful Southwestern Ontario locations. From sandy summer beaches and grassy parks to colourful autumn trails filled with golden leaves, each season brings something unique and beautiful to pet photography.

One of my favourite things about this collection is the variety. You will see playful summer images by the water, cozy fall portraits surrounded by colourful leaves, and heartfelt moments between pets and the people who love them most. Every photograph tells a story about connection, personality, and unconditional love.

If you have been thinking about booking Dog Photos London Ontario for your own furry family member, this is your sign to do it. Whether you want updated portraits, photos with your family, or simply beautiful images celebrating your pet exactly as they are right now, these sessions are always meaningful and so much fun. I cannot wait to meet more amazing pets and create even more unforgettable memories in the year ahead.
