To kick off the new year, I’m continuing the tradition of putting together a series of blogs featuring some of my favourite images captured by the Woodgate Photography team in 2025. This post is all about fun wedding party photos in London Ontario, highlighting some of our favourite bridesmaids and groomsmen photo ideas from weddings throughout London and Southwestern Ontario.

Your wedding party is made up of the people closest to you — the friends and family you want beside you for some of the most important moments of your day. When it comes to wedding party photos, we always aim to capture a mix of traditional “looking at the camera” portraits, candid moments, and fun wedding party photos that show personality. We love getting creative with bridesmaids and groomsmen photo ideas so that this part of the day feels more like a fun experience and less like something keeping everyone away from cocktail hour. We also work quickly and give lots of direction so no one feels awkward in front of the camera.

Over the past year, we’ve photographed a mix of large wedding parties, small wedding parties, and even weddings with no formal wedding party at all. We’ve also noticed many couples in London Ontario choosing to do a first look and wedding party photos before the ceremony so they can relax and fully enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. In 2025, our team had the pleasure of photographing 22 couples, with many also adding wedding videography, plus a few stand-alone video clients.

It was hard to narrow these weddings down to just a few images because there were so many great bridesmaids photo ideas and groomsmen photo ideas throughout the year. These weddings took place at a variety of beautiful locations across London Ontario and Southwestern Ontario. We don’t limit the number of images we edit for our clients — we deliver all the photos that help tell the full story of the wedding day. Our editing style features punchy, true-to-life colours, and clients also receive a selection of images in different tones, including black and white, which you’ll see throughout the photos below.
