Even though July is a bit late for ‘Best of 2025’ posts, these photos need to be seen and I wanted to continue the tradition of sharing some of my favourite photographs taken during London Ontario mini session’s  from 2025. Every year I look back through the sessions  I photographed, and it always reminds me how special it is to capture families through all of life’s stages. These mini sessions are the perfect way to update not only family photographs though but I often have pet sessions, headshots and couples come to the variety of mini session dates that I offer throughout the year.

Mini sessions are one of our favourite ways to capture life’s milestones throughout the year. A mini session is a shorter photography session, typically lasting around 15-20 minutes, with a carefully selected location, theme, or seasonal backdrop. They’re perfect for busy families, couples, children, graduates, pet owners, or anyone wanting updated portraits in a beautiful setting.

One of the things our clients love most is the incredible variety of London Ontario mini session options available throughout the year. Every season brings something new! In the spring, we photograph beneath the stunning magnolia blossoms and fresh greenery. Summer offers dreamy lavender fields, colourful flower farms, sandy beach sunsets, and even unique experiences with highland cows and alpacas. As autumn arrives, we capture the vibrant colours of local parks, apple orchards, and crisp fall landscapes. During the holiday season, our Christmas tree farm sessions with Santa, studio Christmas setups, and magical evening light displays have become annual traditions for many families.

Mini sessions aren’t just for families, either. We regularly photograph maternity announcements, couples, children, pets, graduation portraits, friend groups and even seasonal themed sessions throughout the year. Many of our returning clients enjoy booking several mini sessions throughout the year to document how quickly their children grow and to create fresh artwork for their homes.

Because each session is planned in advance, we’ve already selected the perfect location, lighting, and styling to complement the season. We provide guidance on what to wear, offer props when appropriate, and keep the experience relaxed and enjoyable—even for little ones with short attention spans. Mini sessions are also an excellent option for families who want beautiful professional portraits while working within a budget.
