Engagement Photos Wonderland Gardens London Ontario
I’m excited to capture Lauren and Morgan’s wedding today at the Idlewyld Inn today! I hope you enjoy checking out their fall engagement session photographed at Wonderland Gardens as much as I enjoyed capturing it!
Tell us the story of how the two of you met.
We met on a dating website. On one of his profile pictures he was wearing a Vietnamese fisherman’s hat, and making a goofy face. I knew he was my kind of guy, so he messaged me. We exchanged what were essentially essays for weeks and then met for coffee. The rest was history.
What were your first thoughts on seeing each other?
I think we both kind of sighed in relief that the person we had gotten to know online was equally great in real life. I had a friend very early on in our relationship tell me that I was going to marry him. He told me he fell in love before he even met me.
Tell me the proposal story (the long version is fine)
He was hemming and hawing on how to propose, originally, he wanted to make some grand romantic gesture but I talked him down. . We had been out looking at rings, so I knew it was coming. He attached my engagement ring to the cat’s (seldom used) collar and I went in to investigate why it was being used. Then he got down on one knee with a shaky voice and sweaty palms and asked.
What is your favourite memory together (other than those mentioned above)?
Too many to count. Probably when I made him cinnamon buns, burnt the bottoms, then cut them off to save face resulting in 1/4 size buns. He asked what happened and I told him nothing, they were diet buns. He laughed until he cried.
What do you love most about each other?
Sense of humor, kindness, support. the list goes on.
How do you hope your friends and family see your wedding?
I hope they see the ceremony as elegant and sophisticated and the reception as fun and lively.
Have you thought of anywhere in your house you would like to hang your wedding photographs?
