About Woodgate Photography

Back in 2010 Erin started to build Woodgate Photography, going full time in 2014. Since then Clara, Lori-Anne and Cameron (behind the scenes) have joined the team and we have now captured over 300 weddings and countless portrait sessions. Our core objective is to provide you with high quality photographs you will cherish for years to come with great communication and service. We value inclusivity, regardless of however you look, whomever you love, however you identify, wherever you worship, however you are able, you are welcome here. We acknowledge that the sacred land on which we are privileged to live and work is the traditional territory of the Attawandaron, Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Lunaapeewak peoples who have longstanding relationships to the land, water and region of southwestern Ontario.

Erin she/her

Erin is the owner of Woodgate Photography. She has been capturing portraits and weddings since 2008. Her background in fine art photography has translated to being able to capture natural portraits and having a photojournalistic approach to wedding photography. Erin’s motto is to ‘Take a lifetimes worth’ which basically means to take photos that capture the moment which will last a lifetime. Erin has worked in commercial studios in both Canada and Australia capturing everything from babies’ first steps on film to a furry part of the family being that crazy character that you love so much. She loves playing with her adorable toddler Nora, dogs (especially her cockapoo Bickie), spending time with my friends/chosen family, late 90’s/early 00’s music, tea, cupcakes, ice cream & thrifting.

Travel has always been running through Erin’s veins and in 2008, in the final year of her Fine Arts degree, she went on exchange from her home of Tumbi Umbi, Australia to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, Canada. After finishing her degree and working in a portrait studio in Australia, she returned to Halifax then followed her heart to London, Canada where she now calls home with her husband, Cameron.  Erin continues to travel the world working as a wedding and portrait photographer. One of the things Erin loves about photography is that she and her camera are portable therefore she is always open to destination weddings. Check the upcoming travel dates to see if she will be passing through your city or click the ‘contact’ tab if you are interested in doing a photography session.

Clara she/her

Clara has been working with Woodgate Photography since September 2013 and started full time in 2022. Clara started working with Erin for experience while finishing her photography degree from Fanshawe College and since then has moved from second shooter, to capturing weddings and portraits as the main photographer. Clara also now does the majority of Erin Woodgate Photography’s wedding photography editing. Clara has been interested in photography since she was given a disposable camera on her 11th birthday and particularly enjoys capturing weddings, families, pets and photos of her food (especially cheesecake). She is a proud mom to 2 wonderful children, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. She loves all things caramel, cheesecake, comics, cosplay, binge-watching Supernatural and loves her coffee at Timmies like a true busy Canadian mom.

Lori-Anne she/her

Lori-Anne has been working with Woodgate Photography since 2017, starting with second shooting and moving to associate photographer and then videographer in 2021. She started her photography journey while in college where she learned the fundamentals of black and white film using an old Canon T50 35mm camera. Lori-Anne’s style can be described as candid, honest and authentic; a true documentary ninja at heart!  Her transition into videography was a natural one, as it has given her more freedom and ability to capture those unscripted, beautiful moments that make up the wedding day.

Lori-Anne lives in a small town just outside Cambridge and Kitchener with her husband and tabby cat, Malcom, who has been trained to give high fives and ring a bell for food ;). Lori-Anne has had many creative jobs in her life including knitwear designer, animator and media developer; however, the job that has given her more inspiration, artistic satisfaction and joy is that of a wedding videographer.
