Farm engagement photography Exeter Ontario
I’m off to photography Megan and Kyle’s farm wedding today and just loved photographing their Farm engagement photography Exeter Ontario last fall!
- We went to the same high school together. He’s 2 years younger, we had different friends/groups at the time. Didn’t really know each other in high school. After college and a few bad breakups for myself, we reconnected at “The Ridge” a local pub in Exeter that would host different events. This was their summer party I think. Hit it off on the dancefloor, and we have literally been inseparable ever since. He did his famous “knee slide” across the Ridges dance floor and I guess that’s how it all began. He got my number from a friend and messaged me the next morning. We went on our first date a few days after. We went four wheeling around his bush then to Jack Astors for dinner. I still wasn’t sure about him by this point, I never thought id be with someone like him. After a few more dates I realized he was the real deal, a gentleman full of love with a great family and background and have learnt over the years how hard and devoted of a worker he is! I’ve been hooked since the beginning.

- Our engagement happened Christmas Eve 2017. However this wasn’t suppose to be when it happened. Kyle had it planned for a couple weeks before that, I think he had it planned for a couple months, but didn’t know how to do it! We were walking Molly (our chocolate lab) at our bush through the snow. I guess this is where Kyle was going to pop the question, but before that could happen Molly had found a dead animal and decided she would roll in it. Soo this ruined this plan (which I had no idea about anyway) and we had to take Molly to town to give her a bath. Christmas Eve we always go to my parents for dinner and Xmas. We had just got back home and were laying on the couch. I was complaining how full and tired I was and that I was going to bed. Kyle kept trying to keep me up and wanted to open presents. I told him we could do gifts in morning, I was going to bed. Next think I know Kyle walks out and calls me by my full name, Megan Amanda Lynn Rooseboom, I knew then something was up because only my mom calls me by that name! He said how about we open this present. He got down on one knee and he popped the question. Me still tired and laying on the couch called him a “jackass” before saying yes! Haha Totally caught me by surprise, I had no idea! He also had to talk to my dad, to get his approval and blessing. I said yes of course and here we are today!
- Going on trips together. Vegas, Cuba, Cruise. Shining Tree to the bus fishing and camping. 4wheeling together. Taking Molly swimming. Going for drives to Dennys or to get ice cream. Working on the house and gardens together. Just being together. We really are best friends.
- I love his loyalty to his family. Always trying to improve family business and make it better, regardless of the stress, drama, crap that comes with it how he is with kids. I know hes going to be an amazing father with how he treats nieces, nephews and friends kids. Treats them like his own. his sense of humour. How he can make me laugh doing anything for anyone. “gives the shirt off his back” his know it all ability- he can fix, plan and do anything. His brain doesn’t shut off. Always thinking I love how we are best friends and just love to be in each others company, being able to build and create our home and life on the farm together. He has taught me how independent and strong I can be. Living on the farm hes taught me a lot about myself and what I am able to do. Cutting grass, veggie gardens, flower gardens, chickens. We are able to do this together and just shows me how this will just be the beginning, as we will teach and raise our kids the same way.
