London Ontario Winter Engagement Photographer

We are off to capture Avalon and Jeff’s big day today, I’m excited to see them and their baby (yes she was 5 months pregnant in these photographs) and their pup! We captured their London Ontario Winter Engagement Photographer on their family farm and property and I’m looking forward to seeing how different it looks in the summer!

• Why did you choose Woodgate Photography?
  We liked the natural look of your photos. You also had great reviews and it was mentioned how comfortable you make people feel while they are getting photos done.
• What were your first thoughts on seeing each other?
  Jeff- When I first met Avalon I remember noticing her beautiful eyes and smile. I felt like she was very down to earth and easy to talk to which instantly made me feel comfortable around her. I couldn’t wait to see her again after our first date. Avalon- When I first met Jeff I noticed how soft spoken and kind he was. He acted like a complete gentlemen. He asked me to go four wheeling on our first date and I remember thinking “this could be the guy”.
• Tell me the proposal story (the long version is fine)
  Jeff- I asked Avalon to go on a walk one winter evening after a nice blanket of snow had fallen. I took her along the trail that we had our first date four wheeling. on. On that trail nestled in the woods there is a small bridge which crosses a small stream. When we got to the bridge I got down on one knee and asked Avalon if she would spend the rest of her life with me. I had planned to tell her all the reason why I loved her so much but all I could manage to get out was “I love you, will you marry me?”
• What is your favourite memory together (other than those mentioned above)?
  Our favourite memory together is when we took our first trip together to Ellicottville in New York. We went between Christmas and New Years to have a couple days to ourselves. We originally just went there to snowboard but we ended up experiencing so much more. The combination of the beautifully decorated town and the relentless snow made us feel comfortably nestled in the little village and as a couple quickly falling deeper and deeper in love.
• How do you hope your friends and family see your wedding?
  We hope our friends and family see our wedding as a coming together of all those who have been to support us along our journey in a laid back, relaxed celebration. We hope everyone has a fun night and will make many great memories with us.
• Have you thought of anywhere in your house you would like to hang your wedding photographs?
  We would like to hang our wedding photos in our bedroom and family room with other family pictures.
