Pancakes and Tulip- a love story.

Pancakes and Tulip- a love story.

Just in time to celebrate Easter, I am honoured to share with you Pancakes and Tulip’s special day.

Pancakes and Tulip first started dating about 3 years ago. Tulip had been introduced to a few other boys but she ran away from them- she was waiting for her true love. She was nervous about Pancakes, but he loved her from the moment he met her. To this day, Pancakes will aggressively protect Tulip from other rabbits. She is his. They spend most of the day together side by side grooming each other and getting those hard to reach spots (ears, eyes).

For Tulip and Pancake’s wedding we had a vision of them with pastel coloured scenery and a bright flower crown- one for the daytime with white baby’s breath and another for the evening which the bride wore around her neck at the reception and a bright bouquet of flowers. Like all weddings, the bride had more portraits done compared to the dapper groom in his top hat. Their first look was very sweet with Tulip tapping Pancakes on the back and him turning around to see his beautiful bride for the first time. This was followed by a smooch on the cheek and some snuggly candids. At Woodgate Photography we always strive to capture timeless, candid, romantic imagery for each of our clients. After a few timeless traditional shots taken on a park bench, the couple walked off paw in paw to their reception. The reception decor theme was ‘bling’ and they enjoyed a three tier cake topped with a love heart. I can’t wait to see this couple again next year for their anniversary!

Kaylie is the owner of Pancakes and Tulip and also the vice president and founder of Hoppy Hearts Rabbit Rescue. We partner each year with the rescue for Easter photos- it is much better to have a photo taken with a bunny than to buy a bunny for easter. We promote Easter awareness with the ‘Make Mine Chocolate’ and ‘Not just 4 Easter’ campaigns.
