Kitchener Wedding Photography
This past monday was Kristen and Warren’s first anniversary. Clara and I were happy to travel to Kitchener to photograph their big day. The day started with getting ready shots of the girls and guys including lots of special detail shots. Don’t you just love the handmade individual paper flowers rather than having a bouquet! We then headed to a lovely park which is where the couple did their first look. It was a cold day with a very cold breeze but all of the wedding party were awesome with following instruction and we tried to keep it as quick and warm for them as possible. They were a fun bunch and captured some funny shots as well as many romantic ones of the bride and groom. We then headed to the groom’s fathers airport hangar (you may remember the same venue from a previous wedding that I have photographed there, of the groom’s sister’s wedding the year before) and photographed the ceremony, family photos and then had a fun time photographing the yard games they had for their guests to play. The space was decorated with an under the sea type theme as Warren had proposed with a dolphin while on vacation. Their kissing game was the ‘copy cat’ where a couple will kiss in a certain way and then the bride and groom need to re-create it. I think this game is one of the best to photograph as you get to celebrate your guests love also- and can make for funny moments like seen here with the whipped cream. The dances were fun to photograph on the reflective floor and as always, I loved capturing the fun of the bouquet and garter toss.
