Last year I was invited into Dancer’s most comfortable space, her backyard, for one last photo session before she was to be relieved from any pain that a tumour was causing.

Today I had all my favourite treats

Normally I would be a lucky girl to get one, today I get to eat the whole pack

Today I am one very happy golden retriver

Today I thought about how much I am going to miss you

Today we played all my favourite games and tricks

The trick where you hold my hand has always been my favourite

Today we were silly.

Today I soaked up some sun..

and you let me sit in the best chair
