Winter engagement photography London, Ontario

This winter wonderland Engagement session was shot at Kiwani’s Park in London, Ontario. I’m always happy to include children in engagement sessions and I think it is important that if the couple do have kids, that they come along for at least a few at the beginning of the shoot so that in years to come they have some portraits with Mom and Dad from before they were married.

This lovely couple were married on a warm summers day, so here is my third reason for doing engagement sessions- you can pick which season you would like to do them in, giving you more variety in your portraits. You might have your heart set on a fall wedding for the bright colours against your white dress, but maybe you want something completely different for your engagement photos. As winter is a little less busy for us wedding photographers, for this shoot we didn’t have to lock in a certain date, we were able to just wait for some beautiful snow to fall and then have fun with a snow ball fight and get creative incorporating some bright pops of colour into an otherwise very monotone landscape. I really love winter engagement sessions!
