As Valentines Day has just passed, I’ve decided to post some Engagement sessions that have been sitting in the blog post que for quite some time now. What better way to kick off this week of engagement photos than J&B’s fall session at Civic Gardens in London, Ontario.
Sometimes when I meet with clients they don’t think they would be interested in doing an engagement session, maybe they have already been engaged for a year, or maybe they just ‘aren’t photo people’ but I really think that the engagement session is an important part of the whole wedding photography process, and I will be sharing why over the next five days.
My first reason why I think engagement sessions are important is for getting to know your photographer and vise versa. Consultations can obviously give you a very good start at getting to know each others personalities but sometimes people can change once they get in front of the camera (doesn’t everyone love that friends episode). It also allows your photographer to know what angles are good for the couple and what kinds of poses they feel comfortable in. Once you receive your engagement portraits back you will also have trust and assurance in your photographer so that you will have a stress free wedding photo experience.
