Woodstock Ontario Wedding Photography
We love photographing backyard weddings, I was with Alena and Dave for just a few hours and was able to capture their Woodstock Ontario Wedding Photography. From their cats photobombing the ceremony, to the beautiful park and golden light that we had it was all beautiful. I also loved capturing a nice sunset shot and one with Dave’s Dragonball z collection.
Try not to stress about the little details! Best decision was choosing to do the flowers ourselves, it has made the planning job, since we are able to get creative.
- We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend at the time, back in high school. We met on a blind date at a concert in St. Catharines.
- Alena’s family had a cottage on Sand Lake near Muskoka when growing up and it is one of her favourite places in the world. With that in mind, Dave booked a cottage on a nearby lake and planned a day trip to Sand Lake. We packed up a picnic and canoed across some extremely choppy waters on our way out to a small island in the centre of the lake called Emerald Island. Dave proposed to Alena at a clearing near the waterfront of the island. Alena said yes and then pulled out an engagement ring for Dave and proposed back and then Dave said yes, obviously.
- We make many fond memories sharing each others company in nature, on hikes and walks or simply wandering around our backyard together with our fur babies.
- Dave – I love Alena’s never-ending kindness and thoughtfulness towards others. She inspires me to be less critical of others and to be a better version of myself. She is funny and weird, but good weird… she can be goofy and silly and we can just comfortably be our true selves together without fear of judgement. Alena – I love how passionate Dave is, how he is always looking out for the underdog. His love of music. His gentle heart that encourages me to be more soft and vulnerable.
- Essentially a fun get together with family and friends. A little formality in a casual setting. Since we’ve already been together for over a decade it’s more like a renewal of the commitment we already have, but made publicly.
- We don’t actually have a lot of photos up around the house in general, so we have many spaces throughout we will be hanging and staging them. We don’t have any professional photos of ourselves and plenty of the photos we do have are quite dated. This will provide us with an opportunity to replace some, as well as add more.
- We love your style of photography and read some raving reviews. Then we felt we connected very well during our zoom meeting!
