Oakwood Wedding Photography

It’s over a year now since Darcy and Trevor were married and Clara captured their day at Oakwood Wedding Photography in Grand Bend. I just had to share their album at this beautiful venue with many images they selected to have professionally printed.

• Tell us the story of how the two of you met.
  A friend of mine had introduced us because her boyfriend had broken up with her right before her prom and she wanted me to ask him to take her to prom so she wouldn’t have to go alone but was way to shy to ask him herself or hang out with him without me coming along.
• What were your first thoughts on seeing each other?
  Me : wow, she didn’t tell me how hot he is and here I am in a bathrobe with a towel on my head..great Him: Damn she’s hot! She doesn’t even care that she just got out the shower, man she’s hot! no girl ever answers the door with a towel on her head and invites people in!
• Tell me the proposal story (the long version is fine)
  Trevor had planned this beautiful proposal out at Lake Louise which would have been amazing I’m sure, however I had never been to Alberta and I learned the hard way that when you fly out there for the first time it is very common to get altitude sickness. So after driving all the way from Calgary to Lake Louise I felt too sick to even get out of the car, Trevor then decided to try taking me to the hot springs in Banff but I still felt to sick to even get out of the car. We drove thru the mountains for a little while longer and came to a beautiful Lookout point, we parked and tried one more time for me to get out of the car however I still felt way to sick to do anything except sitting 😅 so after getting back in the car Trevor looked over at me and said
• What do you love most about each other?
  Me: I love his sense of humor , how he always encourages me to do the things that make me happy and how much he loves me just for being myself. Him: Everything about her, she always pushed me to do my best and be the best version of myself. She is sweet (most of the time) always takes great care of our family, works hard and is happy just goofing around being herself.
• How do you hope your friends and family see your wedding?
  Like a magical, elegant wonderful day full of love and laughter
• Have you thought of anywhere in your house you would like to hang your wedding photographs?
  Everywhere!
• Why did you choose us?
  After finding your name on the preferred vendor list for my original venue and checking out all your photos I could find online I fell in love with the style of photos you take and knew that you would be the perfect person to capture our special day
