Fall Engagement Photographer Civic Gardens London Ontario
I’m off to photograph Ashley and Tyler’s wedding today at the Elm Hurst so was happy to go back through their engagement session last year at Civic and Wonderland Gardens. We captured a huge variety of shots including with some props, natural, traditional and fun!
- I saw your stand at one of the Western Fair bridal shows and just got this warm and inviting feeling. I didn’t feel pressured and I felt that this was a photography team that Tyler and I could be our ridiculous and goofy selves and not be judged. Tyler can also be a bit nervous when in front of a camera so I wanted someone who would make him feel comfortable to be himself and our engagement shoot proved that I made the right choice.
- We met in our first year at Fanshawe. We had both noticed each other hanging around the lounge but had never had the chance to talk. Tyler usually played pool in the lounge while I normally pretended to study. One day a mutual friend of ours had asked me (Ashley) to play pool with Tyler and him. I of course said yes because I was secretly great at pool and was excited to hopefully impress Tyler. We played on the same team and won by a land slide and everything else after that fell into place.
- When I first saw Tyler walking around Fanshawe I was instantly attracted to him but originally thought he was a bit of an ass who thought he was all that in his hideous Khaki pants. Me and my friends used to call him Khaki pants guy whenever we would talk about him. The more I saw Tyler the more he started to grow on me. I used to creepily watch him whenever he was in the lounge and I noticed that I loved the smile he would have after he told a joke that he thought was hilarious. I started to laugh at his jokes from across the lounge and I started to realize that the tough cool guy persona was for his friends approval and that he is actually a very sweet and caring guy. when i first saw ashley she just caught my eye she had the most beautiful hair and the most beautiful facial features, i would always peek over at her from across the lounge and would always wanna go over and talk to her but i could never push my self to and she would always be with her friends. The best moment of my life was when one of our mutual friends asked us to play pool together
- I absolutely love a show called Doctor Who. Tyler and I were spending the week of my birthday at my parents’ trailer in Bayfield which is one of my favorite places on earth. One night I went out to grab some things and when I came back Tyler had candles set up lining the walkway to the back patio of the trailer. When I walked around the corner he had this 4 foot tall miniature version of a Tardis (something from the show Doctor Who) that he had spent months making himself (with a little help from his dad) set up. When I walked up Tyler, sweating his ass off in a full suit because I love when he dresses up, started playing the sounds the Tardis makes, handed me a metal rose because I don’t like real flowers because they die, and opened the door of the Tardis to reveal the exact ring I had picked out months earlier sitting on a pedestal with beautiful colour changing lights illuminated it. He got down on one knee to make it completely official and asked me the obvious question. Though I knew he was going to ask me long before it happened I was still blown away with the detail he had put into everything that went into that night.
- Our favorite memory together would be the 3 day trip we took to Toronto together. This was before we bought a house together so it was amazing for it to be just us two with no one else there. We did everything in those 3 days including the aquarium, CN tower, the ROM, Castle Loma and evening finding this neat little harry potter themed store where we found this cool wax seal for our wedding invitations. It was wonderful just having that time to ourselves and having that retreat from our regular lives to just enjoy each other.
- I love Tyler’s sense of humor, his laugh and his adorable dorky smile he has after he’s told a joke. I love how he always takes care of me even when I’m being ridiculous and never judges me when I’m being hard to deal with. He will do anything it takes to make me happy when I’m in a mood including driving all the way to London to get me the makeup I need because I just ran out.
- I hope they see it as elegant but also a bit quirky, fun and cute because that is what describes us and our relationship the best.
- literally everywhere, the pictures are the most important part of the day to me and I plan to proudly show them throughout our entire house.
