Elm Hurst Wedding Photography Ingersoll
I loved photographing Amanda and Trevor’s wedding last year at The Elm Hurst Inn. The purple colour of the bridesmaids dresses looked great against all of the beautiful backgrounds of the Elm Hurst and perfect with the flowers our the front!
- When looking for a wedding photographer we wanted to find someone we would be comfortable with. The “Lifestyle” approach first caught our eye and after doing more research we were certain Erin would be a great fit.
- We met through mutual friends in high school and then we dated for a summer. Our lives took different directions with school and work until we crossed paths again 5 years later and haven’t spent many days apart since.
- Well to start off I wanted to keep everything absolutely secret so I hid the ring at my barbers house and only brought it home the day of the proposal. I made a reservation at the only authentic Italian cuisine restaurant downtown Victoria on Vancouver Island in British Columbia where we worked/lived at the time. If I recall correctly my wife to be was having a hair extension issue ( pause for laughs ) and we almost lost our reservation but I had to call the restaurant and guilt trip them into the fact It was my proposal dinner and I absolutely needed that table. Fortunately we made it and were placed at the table in the dead center of this dimly candle lit restaurant so everyone could see which made me extremely nervous which normally doesn’t happen . We ordered food and I couldn’t really eat much which is odd and I could tell Amanda knew something was off. So to be honest with you I was so nervous I can’t remember a single thing that I said but from what Amanda told me I started off by saying I had a conversation with her dad today and told her I received his blessing and mumbled a couple quiet words while getting down on one knee in front of everyone and asking her to marry me which thankfully she said yes .
- We spent the weekend together with our good friends Tyrone and Helena on this little island in a private townhouse in the town of Tofino. We traveled the beach and through the tropical rain forests and the awesome drive through the mountain pass on the way in/out of Tofino.
- We are having a smaller intimate wedding we want to be able to appreciate the day and celebrate it with our family and our closest friends. We hope our guests see our wedding as a fun celebration in our honour with great food, music and drinks.
