Documenting weddings as they unfold really is what being a wedding photographer is all about to me, yes we take some time in the middle of the day to make some nice portraits for you but it is what happens around that which you will really want to remember. I try to be there in the moments when you are looking at your phone wondering where most of the wedding party are lost (and are now 45 minutes late to the ceremony) or when the car has run out of gas and you are stuck on the side of the 401 for an hour and a half. These shots are some of the moments that really stuck out to me from each wedding I photographed last year. Epic scavenger hunts, epic storms and epic fails where I fall off a chair trying to get a shot of everyone singing ‘Don’t stop belevin’, hidden pregnancies, rapping bridesmaids, midnight light saber duels, brides arriving by boat and a lot of emotion, 2014 really had it all.
