Fall Wonderland Gardens Engagement Photos

Fall Wonderland Gardens Engagement Photos

I’m off to photograph Melissa and Jay’s big day today so had to throw it back to their fun Fall Wonderland Gardens Engagement Photos! They were such an easy couple to photograph and can’t wait for today! Incorporating their love of fishing was so fun!

  • Jay and I met at work during a company BBQ. We were introduced by another driver who was a mutual friend.
  • When we first met MJ and our friend were making jokes and teasing me. When I first met Jay I was teasing him about a prank my friend had pulled on him earlier in the day. ( I think she put pink tape on his trailer and he drove around with it most of the day) He had a good sense of humour and laughed about it
  • Jay: July 27, 2019., I swear it was the hottest day of the summer. We went down to Tecumseh to visit MJ’s family. We (myself, MJ, our kids Alexis, Myah, Owen. MJ’s family – her mom, nephews and sister) decided to go to one of our favourite fishing spots, the Belle River Pier. I pulled MJ aside and was holding her while I told her all the ways she makes my life complete and how much I love her. I got down on one knee and proposed. She had no idea what what going on and looked pretty confused before she realized what was happening. She said yes Before we went to the pier, we were at MJ’s grandparent’s house. I asked her grandfather Leo and her mother Mary-Anne for their blessings. Leo said without hesitation “ABSOLUTELY! We need some ‘sane’ people in this family! Mary-Anne was happy to say yes! MJ: I can’t stress hot hot it was on the day Jay proposed! While we were at the pier, he pulled me aside and was trying to hold me and hug and and all I could think was “why are you touching me?? It’s soo hot!!” When he got down on one knee I thought he was having a heart attack or about to pass out from the heat. I was so shocked when he pulled out a ring. Of course I said Yes!!
  • Our firs getaway date-weekend. We went to Niagara Falls and saw all the sights with great food and so many laughs. That weekend was the start of all of our adventures together!
  • MJ and I are opposites and I think that’s why we work so well together. She is calm and patient and she keeps me relaxed. She is my world! Jay has the biggest heart. He cares so much for his family and values his friendships above all else. He is sweet and considerate and so loving. Jay is always up for an adventure!
  • We hope they see it as light and fun and never too serious
  • Right on our living room wall. It’ll be the first thing people see when they walk through the door
  • We know a few people who used Woodgate Photography for their wedding and/or family photos and you came so highly recommended.
