Best of 2022 & 2023: Documentary wedding photographer London Ontario

I usually like to kick off the new year with these ‘Best of’ blogs, but last year I didn’t get them done, so I am combining the two together this year! I’m continuing the tradition of putting together a series of blogs showing some of my favourite photographs the Woodgate Photography team captured in 2022 & 2023 of Documentary wedding photographer London Ontario.

Lori is a pro at documentary photographs (and has won awards). In 2021 Clara and I (Erin) did a mentorship with an amazing documentary photographer and we used some of the skills we were re-inspired by to capture even better Documentary wedding photographer London Ontario than we have before. These shots make up the majority of the photographs in the day, so it is important that they get showcased on the blog too. The thing with moments is that they are so personal and so individual to each wedding that they will make sense more when seen in the context of the entire wedding (which I usually blog around the couple’s 1st anniversary). 2022 really was (pardon the pun) like a breath of fresh air for documentary photographs when there were less masks around for emotions to hid behind. I’m so thankful that we have had the chance to capture so many emotional, fun, unique moments for our couples to treasure.

We had the pleasure of photographing in a variety of locations throughout South Western Ontario. All of our packages are full day which allows us to capture so many of these candid documentary style images. We don’t limit how many images we edit for our clients, just however many tell the story of the day. Our editing style gives punchy true-to-life colours, and our clients also receive a selection in different tones including black and white.
