Lavender farm engagement session
I’m off to photography Lisa and Jeremy’s big day today in Stratford. Loved looking back on their engagement session at the lovely Sparta Lavender Farm.
- Our parents were best friends when we first met. Jeremy saw pictures that my mother posted on Facebook. He messaged her saying “your daughter is very pretty.” and at the time I was in a relationship. We later met that year in April 2010 at my parents place (I still lived at home). A year later, my relationship ended and Jeremy started to message me. We talked many many nights until the late AM. A few months later we started going on dates and made it official. (Aug 2011) We moved in together in March 2012. Had our son in Feb 2013. Got engaged Christmas of 2018.
- Jeremy always thought I was really pretty and wanted to date me. He waited for me <3 Lisa always thought Jeremy was really cute and funny.
- It was Christmas day of 2018. All of the presents were almost done being unwrapped. Jonah had one more gift to unwrap and then Jeremy mentioned he forgot a present. He told me to double check the Christmas tree. (That year he had put a few gift cards on the actual tree) So I thought nothing of it and kept looking and looking. When I gave up and turned around he was down on one knee, with the ring in the box asking me to marry him.
- We once read about a date night where you go to a thrift shop and pick out each others outfits for the evening. You purchase the outfits, change into them and then go out for coffee/shopping or a movie, etc. We did this! He chose a pink/green floral dress, with a pebble necklace and glasses for me to wear. I chose some cargo shorts, an Allan Jackson t-shirt and a firey/red button up to go overtop. I also picked out glasses and a grandfather hat. We then went to Starbucks to get a drink and shop in Chapters. When we ordered our coffee the Barista asked for our names to put on the cups. He said my name was Penelope and I said his name was Elliot. She then asked us to spell it. I was stumbling LOL!!! And then Jeremy told the Barista that it was our very first date. We laughed and laughed all night long. It was honestly the best date night ever!
- I love that Jeremy is so funny – he can make me laugh at just about anything. Even when I’m upset, he can make me laugh and calm down. I also find him handsome. Jeremy loves that I support him and believe in him. He loves that I am the glue of the family and we balance eachother very well!
- I know everyone is really excited to finally see us get married. We’ve been together for 12 years! I hope through our photographs they see a lot of love, romance, laughter and how beautiful our wedding venue/details are. Like the rustic vibe of wood beams, and of course the purple colours throughout.

- You were highly recommended on the London wedding group. When I looked into you, you had SO many 5 star reviews. You also have schooling to back up your career and I knew you had a lot of experience. I really loved your nighttime photographs with the flash / umbrella in the rain / smoke behind the couple / sunset, etc. You also take other creative shots (through mirrors/ leaves, etc.) I felt like the shots I really wanted from Pinterest you already take so I wouldn’t need to come up with a huge list of demands.
