Back in the fall of 2019 Clara captured Misty & Sam’s Wedding Photographer Elm Hurst Inn and it was a pleasure to go back to re-live their big day! Misty got ready in one of the lovely rooms at the Elm Hurst Inn. After the first look the couple did all of the photographs with their wedding party, this was they were able to relax during cocktail hour. Some couples have a hard time deciding if they would like to do a first look or not as they think they might not get as emotional during the walk up the aisle but for Misty & Sam it was just as emotional! After their family photographs Clara captured their details and reception in through to the dramatically lit dances, gorgeous sunset and creative night photos. We always loved Wedding Photographer Elm Hurst Inn and can’t wait until we are back there next!
- Misty’s first thought – he’s very tall Sam’s first thought – “is that an eagles sweater? (Note, I didn’t watch football at this point but it was his favourite team ironically lol to me it was just a cheap big sweater in my face colour)”
- MISTY – January 7th, 2019 – three years after our first date, Sam took me back to Victoria Park, the same bench as our first kiss and proposed. SAM – “I was nervous but I had this plan to give you a dud of a ring and tell you it was all I could afford and it was also our anniversary – and I told you we’d exchange gifts at dinner and then, so I got this terrible ring form Ardennes and we went to the spot where we had our first kiss on our first date on the bench, so I waited until we were there and I wanted it to be private thing, but we got to the bench and I started working myself up with conversation and I had and I told you I met you three years ago and I had no idea that you would own my heart and I got down on one knee and you were like babe. Your knee. And I was like will you marry me. And then you were just worried about my knee being cold, so I had to be like. Yes or no. And you said yes. And then I couldn’t hold it in, and it was such a shitty ring, but you didn’t even notice, and I buckled under the pressure and gave you the fancy ring because I didn’t want you to think I couldn’t get a nice one, which you loved, and then we embraced and walked back to the car and you sounded like a victim of a car accident, you were just in shock. And then we went to dinner. It was a good day. “
- Favourite memory was 2019 Niagara Falls trip. The honeymoon suite that was hideous gone with the wind theme lol. Heart shaped jacuzzi.
- Misty – he takes care of me, and loves me – I feel like my best self around him. Sam – “Your giving nature is my favorite part of you. Not just gifts but the way you are in all aspects. Particularly the bedroom if you know what I mean”
- Misty – Like a total fucking blast lol Sam – I just want them to be happy for us
