Wishing you a Happy New Year! It has been so long since I blogged a wedding, for the busy fall and Christmas season I had to prioritize getting editing done etc but I’m so happy to be back to it now and sharing Martin and Katie’s big New Years Eve Wedding Photography London ON last year! I truly love photographing New Years Eve weddings and was so happy to spend the first little while of 2020 with this happy couple and their gorgeous guests. As my wedding packages are up to 12 hours, the coverage started at the beginning of the ceremony at St Peters Cathedral for their 1pm ceremony which meant we had plenty of time to capture lots of nice photographs of their family inside the church after the ceremony then with their large wedding party at Gibbons Park and Western University. I was so happy that there was snow on the ground to really make it a perfect winter wedding. Their reception was held at Ilderton Community Centre and their elegant décor was perfect for new years eve and we loved capturing all the candid moments of the night including their first dance, speeches, mother/son and father/daughter dance, their guests having fun on the dancefloor and even an impromptu music performance by the groom which was extremely well received by all of their guests (and me and Clara!). The balloon drop at the stoke of midnight was VERY fun to photograph and of course, as always, we loved having some creative fun with the night photos. I REALLY hope that weddings start to look more like this in 2020!
