The Clearing Wedding Photography

I met Melissa when photographing her headshots at Western and while we were there she asked me about Wedding Photography explaining that they didn’t want a big package as they didn’t love being in front of the camera. When I heard about everything they had planned for their day I was super excited and knew that the full day packages that I offer would work best for them. They opted for the package with one photographer so that meant I got to go to the guys getting ready and get to know them and photograph their colourful, fun personalities. I then headed to where the girls were getting ready and it was so easy to photograph Melissa! The ceremony was held at The Clearing Wedding Photography and it was my first time photographing there.

• Tell us the story of how the two of you met.
  We both wanted to be doctors and were taking the preparation course for an exam that is required before medical school called the MCAT. We met in our MCAT prep course. I sat beside him and asked him to study with me.
• What were your first thoughts on seeing each other?
  I thought, he seems interesting and fun! He thought she was very pretty and was super nervous when she sat next to him!
• Tell me the proposal story (the long version is fine)
  We were at his mother’s house, making pizza together with his family in their wood burning oven in their backyard. My job is usually to top the pizzas and his mom’s role is to roll the dough. She kept telling me I needed to roll the dough and I put up a fuss of course. I felt something hard inside so I passed it to his sister asking what it was. She then pulled out the ring box and she didn’t know what it was either. We called Tommy over and he got down on his knee.
• What is your favourite memory together (other than those mentioned above)?
  Our favourite memory is climbing a super tall mountain in Switzerland together in the middle of a thunderstorm!
• What do you love most about each other?
  I love how much fun we have together. I love his light-hearted nature, fun loving nature. I love her strong yet super caring personality .
• How do you hope your friends and family see your wedding?
  Fun and delicious!
• Have you thought of anywhere in your house you would like to hang your wedding photographs?
  In our bedroom, maybe a hallway.
• Why did you choose us?
  I had Erin do head shots for my medical residency and I loved the experience!
