Wrap up of Erin Woodgate Photography’s best Boudoir Photography London Ontario and Boudoir mini session announcement!
To kick off the new year I thought I would put together a series of blogs showing some of my favourite photos I captured in 2015. To start I could think of no better way than with some Boudoir photography london ontario sessions. 2015 was a very different year for me for boudoir sessions, with everyone opting for either on location (check out the freezing outdoor winter shoots and the fun 4 wheeler shoot) or in the studio, in the past I had done a lot of my boudoir sessions either using the clients bedroom or a hotel room so the shoots from 2015 were different and fun!
Have you been thinking about doing a Boudoir session? It is a wonderful idea to just do something different and push beyond your comfort zone, or can make a wonderful present for a loved one, especially thinking about the upcoming holiday of love, Valentine’s Day.
Hair and Makeup
I cannot stress the importance of having a high quality hair and makeup artist for your boudoir session. A professional like Mallory will be able to bring out your features and will know how to apply the makeup so that it will look good on camera. Fake tanner is a personal choice but I recommend not to use it unless you have had a trial run and know how your skin reacts to it, nothing worse than having to have the whole shoot in black and white because you don’t like the colour of your skin! Don’t forget about your nails. What better way to start to feel relaxed and confident than a trip to your favourite nail salon!
Clothing
I recommend to have a few options when it comes to clothing so that if a certain option isn’t really working that there is more as a backup. Generally I would start with something with a little more coverage such as a robe, piece of clothing of your partners or a bodysuit then as you begin to feel more comfortable and confident we can more to other lingerie options. For colours I would recommend to bring at least one black outfit and one outfit that is really ‘your style’ as far as colour. A pair or two of high heels and fun accessories like chunky/statement necklaces can really add variety to your session.
