London Ontario Boudoir

Boudoir has come a long way from glamour studio photography and it is a wonderful idea to do a different type of portrait session, which is creative and pushes you beyond your comfort zone. It can make a wonderful, tasteful present for your husband or loved one, especially thinking about the upcoming holiday of love, Valentine’s Day. This year I captured 3 special London Ontario Boudoir sessions. Two of the lovely ladies were referred by clients of mine so they had a friend to rely on that I am professional, easy going and fun during the sessions. Sometimes it is also important to clients to have a female photographer capturing them. The other session was a lovely soon to be bride (I captured her wedding) who was using the photos and a gift for her soon to be groom. I practise what I preach and as I got married this year I also did a boudoir session and I’m hoping that as I have now been in front of the camera as well as behind on this kind of session that it will help me in photographing my future sessions. In editing I always give my clients a colour version of the photo and then also a black and white or vintage tone, many of which you can see in the gallery below.

This year I introduced Pin Up photography into my business and it is a vintage inspired, more cheeky and less serious version of boudoir.

Beauty by Mallory did both hair and makeup for all 3 sessions seen here, just with the exception of the one photo with the purple dress which I captured of a model at a conference. It is so important to have good hair and makeup for your boudoir session, not only does is look better in the images but also will make you feel more confident in the moment.

Does this have you thinking you would like to do a Boudoir session? I offer a great value package and as I mentioned before it is a great idea for your loved one this Valentine’s Day- gift certificates are available.

To kick off the new year I thought I would put together a series of blogs showing some of my favourite photos I captured in 2016. You can catch up on the previous posts below-
