Bellamere Winery engagement photography
I just photographed Jenn & Chris’ wedding on New Years eve at Bellamere Winery and just realized I haven’t blogged their engagement session which was photographed at the venue from August 2016! Jenn is so bubbly and fun and you can just see the love that Chris has for her in these shots, here some more about their relationship written by the now newlyweds!
- We met at Fanshawe College, both enrolled in the Medical Radiation Technologist program (2009). We were at the same bus stop to go to school, who ever got on the very busy bus first would save a seat for the other! This went on all year and each time we sat a little closer 😉 Eventually our friendship turned into love and we were college sweethearts!
- It was September 24th and we were visiting the south of Poland a cute city called Zakopane. A must see on our list was to visit the “Morskie Oko” (eye of the sea) it’s a beautiful lake on top of a mountain with more mountains surrounding it. So we packed a couple of sandwiches and caught the bus to drive us in. We knew it was a going to be a bit of a hike but we didn’t know it was going to be a 9km hike! The weather was calling for rain – but luckily it held off! After a couple stops along the way Jenn said “oh man I hope the end is worth it” and Chris said ” I think it will be!” We finally make it to the top and the view was breath taking. We find a beautiful spot with the perfect view to eat our lunch – but so does everyone else. Visitors keep interrupting us asking us to take their photo! One group even wanted a photo with us! After the third group we decided to move to a place a little quieter. And there we were – just the two of us enjoying the view, Chris got down on one knee and everything felt like it was in slow motion. Jenn cried out Yes (happy tears of course) and just like that we were engaged! We took the horse carriage back down the mountain and went for dinner to celebrate! It was definitely our best trip!
- Hard to pick just one! We love our first portaging trip to algonquin – spent the week outdoors no cellphones just the two of us on our own private island at one point – amazing trip even though Jenn sprained her ankle on the last leg! Also love the memory when we went to Marlies game and got chosen for the intermission game – we were on the ice, I was in a tub and Chris had to push me around collecting puzzle pieces as we went along the rink. Then had to race to the centre and assemble the puzzle – we totally beat the other team! Theres also the day we brought Wally home – such a special day for our little family. Ooo and also going to Ottawa in the winter and skating the canal hand in hand!
- Chris – i love the way Jenn sings in the car even though she gets the words wrong all the time. I love the way she tries to say expressions but they come out wrong ie “you’re treading on thin ice”. I love how sweet and caring and sensitive she is. I love how thoughtful and creative she is, always putting so much time and effort into anything she has planed for us. Jenn – i love the way Chris calls my parents “mamus and tatus” (mommy and daddy in polish) from the beginning of our relationship. I love that he always laughs at my jokes. I love how he is always there for me – from when i just need a hug a back rub or need support when presenting at a conference – he is there!
- We hope they see our love shine through! We hope its a beautiful romantic night with love everywhere! We also hope its a memorable wedding for everyone especially since its on New Years Eve!
- Well we registered for a couple beautiful frames – cant wait to fill those babies! As well as we plan on getting some enlargements of our favourite photos and hanging them in the living room for all to see!
- While researching photographers we came across your work and really liked the way your pictures told the story. Once we contacted you, you were very friendly and able to answer our questions and the pricing was in our budget! Once we met you we felt at ease and knew you’d be the perfect photographer to capture our love…and you let us bring Wally (our dog) to the studio with us! 🙂
